25 minutes 4 servings
Crispy beer-battered cod tucked into fluffy bao buns with red cabbage, carrots, radish slices, and green onion. Drizzled with a sweet and spicy bao sauce made from mayo, sriracha, lime juice, honey, and soy sauce—an irresistible fusion of crunch and flavor.
Ingredients
1 package of Trident Beer Battered Cod (10 to 12 pieces)
8 bao buns
2 radishes, sliced thin
1 cup shredded red cabbage
1/4 cup shredded carrots
Green onion, for garnish
Bao Sauce:
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 Tbsp lime juice
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 tsp soy sauce
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Arrange the frozen Trident Beer Battered Cod filets on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.
Make the Bao Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime juice, honey, and soy sauce until smooth. Adjust seasoning to your taste. Set the sauce aside.
Steam the bao buns according to package instructions.
Carefully open each steamed bao bun without tearing them. Spread a little sauce inside each bun. Add a few slices of radish, a small handful of shredded cabbage, and shredded carrots. Place a piece of the cooked Trident Beer Battered Cod inside the bao bun.
Drizzle with additional sauce and garnish with green onion. Enjoy!
