Air-Fried Salmon Burgers with Caramelized Onions & Balsamic Glaze
30 minutes 2 servings
A quick, gourmet twist on a classic burger. Juicy salmon burgers meet peppery arugula, sweet onions, and creamy aioli—all tucked into a toasted bun. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or casual date night, with minimal effort and maximum taste.
Ingredients
2 Trident Seafoods Alaska Salmon Burgers
2 burger buns, toasted
1 cup arugula
1/2 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
1–2 tsp balsamic glaze
2 Tbsp aioli (store-bought or homemade)
Olive oil or butter (for onions)
Salt, to taste
Directions
Air Fry the Salmon Burgers. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place salmon burgers in the basket and cook according to package directions, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
Caramelize the Onions. While the burgers cook, heat a drizzle of olive oil or a small pat of butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for about 15–20 minutes until deep golden and soft.
Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
Assemble the Burgers. Spread aioli on the bottom bun. Layer on a handful of arugula, the air-fried salmon burger, caramelized onions, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Cap it off with the top bun.
Serve best enjoyed warm, with crispy fries or a light salad on the side.
