Preparation and Cooking

*KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO COOK. Thawing is not recommended – cook from frozen.

GRILL OR BARBEQUE: Preheat to medium heat (350° F). Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Preheat to 400°F. Place frozen burger(s) on lightly greased baking sheet, cook for 9 to 10 minutes on each side.
PAN FRY: In lightly oiled pan, cook over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

AIR FRYER: Set air fryer temperature to 400°F. Place desired amount in a single layer, do not overcrowd. Cook for 12 to 13 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Microwave cooking is not recommended.
* Cooking times and temperatures may vary substantially. Internal temperature should be at least 165° F. We strive to produce a fully “boneless” product. As with all fish, however, occasional bones may still be present.

With over 40 years of experience fishing the cold, icy waters off the coast of Alaska, our commitment to responsible fishing runs deep. We actively support research to keep our fisheries thriving and participate in the Alaska fishery management process, which is based on robust, sound science, and transparent governance. The Wild Alaska Salmon fishery is certified as sustainable by two independent and internationally recognized eco-certifications: Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). They are also benchmarked by the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) and aligned with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, the most comprehensive set of international standards and best practices for sustainable fisheries​.

From the Source to the Plate

All Trident product is boxed with a date code that indicates the processing date, time and plant. We can use this information to trace back to when and what management area the fish was harvested, what vessel or tender the fish came from, and the quality of the fish when it entered our plant. Our work to design a third-party accredited social standard for our processing facilities exceeds industry norms.

How we catch Alaska Salmon

We purchase all species of Alaska salmon from independent fishermen across Alaska – from Bristol Bay to Kodiak to Ketchikan. Our fleet of independent vessels makes deliveries to our plants and floating processors in Naknek, False Pass, Sand Point, Chignik, Kodiak, Cordova, Petersburg, Wrangell, and Ketchikan (and sometimes to one of our partner’s plants). Regardless of where it is processed, our captains and plant managers are in constant communication with each other to ensure that we have the freshest fish possible.

The Alaska salmon fishery is often made up of family-run operations and harvest opportunities are allocated by region amongst gear types to balance sustainability, historic participation, and ensure that coastal communities benefit from the resource. Most pink salmon are harvested on larger purse seine vessels (generally between 38’-58’). Purse seining is the most crew-intensive method of salmon fishing and allows harvesters to target large schools of fresh pink salmon. Most sockeye salmon are caught using smaller gillnet vessels (generally between 32’-42’). While the crew size is smaller on these operations, it is an incredibly labor-intensive method of fishing because each fish must be individually picked from the net.

    I like these Salmon burgers in a variety of ways and for any meal – snacks too. I don’t often eat prepared foods, but when I do, I read the ingredients label thoroughly. The ingredients list for the Salmon burgers is short and I know what they are. Some foods have a list as long as your arm with names you can’t even
    pronounce. I hope these will continue to be available locally at Food Lion And Harris Teeter.

    Yummy!!! I am not a fan of fish, but because I wanted the health benefits from eating salmon, I decided to try these. I pan fry in a bit of olive oil and garlic then add a sprinkling of lemon pepper. Toast a whole wheat bun and top with a bit of homemade tarter sauce, add other toppings. I now eat salmon 2X’s/week.

    I bought these at Costco, kind of on a whim. My husband loves his beef hamburgers. And while I also enjoy one once in awhile, I actually am more of a seafood person. So, I just had the first salmon burger of my purchase, and it was heavenly! I cooked it in a skillet on medium heat with a little olive oil. On a toasted bun, spread lightly with Toady’s Dill Sauce, I had the salmon with a leaf of romaine, a tomato slice, and a thin slice of red onion. SO good!!

    I bought these at PriceSmart which is a subsidiary (or something) of Costco, here in Costa Rica. They are really delicious! I just had the burger, no bun or bread, with broccoli and mushrooms. I followed the directions, 4-5 min per side but next time I think I’ll do it fir just under 4 min per side. Highly recommend!

    Ordered these through Costco online and so very glad we did – they are wonderful! I prefer salmon more than my husband, and now I can eat it much more regularly. Had my first burger on a homemade honey whole wheat bun with some homemade tartar sauce, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Can’t wait to try different preparation methods.     Best salmon burger ever. My friend, a fellow Costco fan, told me about these and I’m forever grateful. Made them in the air fryer last night and I moaned in enjoyment!     I love the incredible flavor , perfect size for my airfryer or oven. I get creative and crumble the meat into my recipes.
    I fell in love with with these burgers. I originally tried these because I don’t eat chicken or red meat but I wabted to enjoy a juicey burger . They are an great source of omega 3s , healthy and delicious meal .
    Now it’s my go to meal .
    We go through 3 or 4 packages a month in my house.
    I just wanted to tell you how much I love your burgers .
    I get them from Costco, I would love to see these at safeway too hopefully !

    I eat more of these for breakfast than at any other meal. I fry potatoes in a cast iron skillet and when the potatoes are just about done I add the salmon burger to the skillet. As the burger cooks I break it up and scramble it into the fried potatoes. Add a couple eggs on the side. Mmmmmm!

    Amazingly delicious!! Its an experience everyrtime i make these. Cooks like a beef burger. I like to season and pan fry in a bed of thinly sliced onions on low to medium heat. Eat on a brioche bun. Mayo, chipotle mayo, mustard, ketchup, with a side of peppers. Trying hard to not eat the 12 pack before the week ends.

    I have been eating these for years and really enjoy them – they’re so simple to make on the grill from frozen! I just had one on half a low carb wrap with sliced onion, radish, and romaine lettuce and some wasabi mayonnaise I made – restaurant quality! Delish way to eat healthy. Think I will go eat another on the other half of the wrap!

    These Salmon burgers are great. They’re nice and thick and perfectly seasoned. So easy to prepare too – just pop them (frozen) into the oven for 10 minutes.
    The packaging also has the best zippered close top I’ve used. Just all around great quality.
