BOSTON, March 3, 2026 – Trident Seafoods, North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company, announced today that its Crispy Battered Sauceable Wild Alaska Pollock Nuggets has been named a finalist in the 2026 Seafood Excellence Awards. The awards will be presented during the 44th edition of Seafood Expo North America (SENA) held March 15-17, 2026 in Boston.
The product is a finalist in the Best New Foodservice Product category.

SENA’s Seafood Excellence Awards recognize the best new seafood products in the North American market. Finalists are judged based on several criteria, including the product’s uniqueness and appropriateness to the market, taste profile, packaging, market potential, convenience, nutritional value and originality.

Made from wild caught pollock sustainably harvested from the pristine waters of Alaska, Trident’s Crispy Battered Sauceable Wild Alaska Pollock Nuggets feature a neutral-savory battered coating that stays crispy even when sauced or hot-held. Winner of the coveted People’s Choice award at the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation’s annual Alaska Symphony of Seafood event, the nuggets were developed to help food service operators keep pace with today’s bold, flavor-forward menus while maintaining speed, consistency and versatility in high-volume kitchens.
Seafood Excellence Awards winners will be selected and announced on March 15 in a ceremony held in the new Wave Makers’ Zone (booth No. 3165) at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center. Awards will be given in the categories of Best Retail Product and Best Foodservice Product.
