General Information


Bairdi is a specie of snow crab harvested in Alaska in the winter and early spring. It is larger than opilio snow crab and is packed with the best tasting meat out of any crab.

Thawing Instructions


Keep frozen at 0 F or below until ready for use. To thaw, cover and refrigerate 8-10 hours, or immerse in cool running water 20-30 minutes.

Preparation and Cooking Instructions


STEAM: Bring water to boil in steam pot, place steam basket of crab in pot and cover. Reduce heat and steam frozen crab 5-8 minutes, thawed crab for 4 minutes. Serve hot with drawn butter or your favorite dipping sauce.
BAKE: In 400 degrees F oven for 4 minutes.

While elegantly delicious, Snow Crab is a quick, affordable item for your menu. Snow Crab is sensational served chilled as a cocktail. Steaming, sauteing or broiling will also bring out its delicate flavor. Serve Snow Crab with butter sacues, sweet and sour, oriental dips, or herbed vinegars.
